Civil Service Examination 2017

ü On the 6th day of after final result declaration, UPSC has uploaded the cutoff  marks for the civil services exam (CSE-2017). Prelim Paper-II marks were not counted in Mains-selection

Exam               General      OBC       SC       ST       PH-1        PH-2      PH-3

CS(Prelim)* 105.34    102.66   88.66   88.66    85.34      61.34      40.00

CS(Main)#    809           770         756      749        734         745          578

CS(Final)      1006        968          944      939       923         948          830

What we observed / Analysis

1. Prelims Cut off is Lowest in last Three Years (2015, 2016, 2017) due to Tough GS paper in Prelims 2017.

2. From 2011 – 2014 Prelims Paper 2 Aptitude arks were also counted in the preparations of prelims result, so they have high cut off. I will be irrational to compare those years, with last three prelims

3. Mains 2017 – Has highest Cut off (Gen Category in last three years, on account of relatively easier papers than past.
